How it works
The swish takes at least 2–3 minutes, and up to 10 minutes, and it comes before you brush. Here's the whole thing, start to finish.
Four steps, after your retainer comes out.
Before you start. Take your retainer out and clean it the way your orthodontist recommends. This rinse never goes on your retainer.

Step 1: Retainer out
Take it out, clean it as your orthodontist recommends, and set it in its case.

Step 2: Measure
Measure one dose.
1 tablespoon (about 15 mL)
Use a standard 1-tablespoon measure.

Step 3: Swish
Swish it around your mouth. Don't swallow it.
Swish for at least 2–3 minutes, and up to 10 minutes.
Tip: swish while you do something else, like washing your face or making coffee.

Step 4: Finish
Spit it out. Then brush your teeth, scrape your tongue and rinse.
How often: The label describes a daily routine.
Safety & storage
Keep out of reach of children. Avoid swallowing. Clean hands before use. Discontinue use if irritation or rash occurs. Store in a cool, dry, dark place.
Make it easy to keep
- Keep the bottle and your measuring spoon together in a cabinet, so they're easy to reach. Store in a cool, dry, dark place.
- Swish while you do something else: wash your face, pick out your clothes, or start the coffee.
- Brush after you swish.
What it isn't
It doesn't clean your retainer. It doesn't replace brushing, flossing or dental visits. It isn't a treatment.
